Two other special awards were made to Erin Gwyn Rossington (soprano) representing the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, who won the Audience vote and Lluis Calvet I pey, (baritone) representing the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama , who impressed the judges so much they wanted to give him a special commendation, Lluis was also the Audience runner up.
The winner, Liam Bonthrone, received £1500 plus an opportunity to record a recital with individual recordings of arias and introductions (worth £1000), sponsored by the Ann Driver Trust.

Ann Driver was greatly influenced by the teaching of Emile Jacques-Dalcroze, and she adapted his method for her own pupils. This short video from the Irish Chamber Orchestra Academy shows how some applications of the Dalcroze Method were used on a recent course for young musicians.
